Because at Intellectix, it's not what we do, it's why we do it.Key Responsibilities:Develops technical solutions for the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architecturesTrains end users on the proper use of hardware and softwareMonitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levelsLeads efforts to ensure data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups archive operationsEnsures that performance and security of computers meet the needs of network usersMay coach and provide guidance to less experience professionalsSolid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, ICMP, ssh and SNMPResponsible for provisioning virtual and physical servers or workstationsKnowledge of repository management practices, patch administration, and vulnerability remediationMay serve as a team or task leadAdministering systems using automation and scripting tools to include CLI, Ansible, or various coding languagesSkilled in system administration tasks such as file system, network, and account troubleshootingFamiliarity with VMWare and SAN management and conceptsEvaluates existing systems and plans long-term strategiesConducts advanced audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with standards, policies, and guidelinesEnsures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutionsPerforms advanced software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packagesTroubleshoots complex system hardware and software issuesQualifications: Education/Experience: Technical Training, Certification(s) or DegreeBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar relevant degree or equivalent experience3+ years of related experience as a Linux AdministratorPreferred Certifications: Security+ CertificationLinux+ CertificationAdditional Linux certifications (RHCSA, RHCE and LPIC) desiredNetwork+ Certification Join Intellectix and be part of a dynamic team that thrives on tempo, teamwork, and technical excellence.
