Bus Driver & Teaching AssistantBus Driver & Teaching Assistant is a full-time, salaried role at Reaching All Minds Academy (RAMA). The ideal candidate will be passionate about educating and impacting the lives of students; create a positive and engaging learning environment; and ensure the safety and wellbeing of students. The Bus Driver & Teaching Assistant position will report directly to RAMA's Administrative Team for each role. Reaching All Minds Academy is a charter school in Durham County with the mission to prepare students to become productive citizens with the skills needed to solve complex problems, think critically, exhibit positive social competencies, and to function in a highly technological and global society. Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Bachelor's degree in education or relevant field preferred.Holds a current CDL Class B with P & S endorsementA minimum of 2 years experience as a teaching assistant or similar role.Passion for working with low-income and at-risk studentsSelf-motivatedDemonstrated ability to work independently and as a teamDemonstrated technology proficiency, particularly in the Google SuiteExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Outstanding interpersonal and presentation abilities.Spanish language skills preferredCore Responsibilities:Safely run morning and afternoon bus routes as assignedImplement plans and daily schedule alongside and independently of the Lead TeacherEnsure the classroom environment is warm, friendly and conducive to learningMaintain a safe and orderly classroomEnsure safe transitions between classrooms, outdoor spaces, and dismissal areasOversee students during non-classroom times including in-between classes, during lunch, and on field excursionsTake attendance and lunch counts dailyMaintain open communication with the Lead Teacher throughout dayAssist Lead teacher in lesson preparation by preparing materials and equipmentComply with state, school, and class rules and regulationsAttend all training classes, parent conferences, and faculty meetings
