Here are the key details: Position Highlights: Orthopedic Physician Assistant or APRN: Join an established practice as an experienced Orthopedic Physician Assistant or APRN, collaborating with three Orthopedic Surgeons. This role involves surgical assisting, medical consultations, and participation in sporting events. Surgical Assisting: Play a vital role in surgical procedures, working closely with Orthopedic Surgeons to provide skilled assistance during operations. Sports Medicine Experience: While not mandatory, experience in Sports Medicine is preferred, reflecting a focus on a diverse range of orthopedic conditions, particularly those related to sports injuries. Comprehensive Patient Care: Conduct physical exams, assess health status, order and interpret tests, prescribe medications, and treat illnesses, including administering injections and suturing wounds. Consultation and Referral: Collaborate with physicians as needed and refer patients for more complicated medical cases or situations outside the routine scope of a PA/APRN???s work. Participation in Sporting Events: Engage in sporting events, contributing to the promotion of orthopedic health and wellness in the community. Hospital Rounding: Assist in hospital rounding, ensuring continuity of care for orthopedic patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
