About the jobTitle: Electrical Engineer Location: Merrimack, NH (Onsite)Employment Type: ContractStatus: Accepting CandidatesAbout the roleSeeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design and development of complex medical instruments within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.This role will focus on electrical and electronic hardware design, power systems, PCB/PCBA development, prototype testing, and manufacturing support for advanced instrumentation products.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign electrical and electronic hardware for complex medical instrumentsSupport engineering project assignments involving power systems, PCBA design, cable design, and EMC-related activitiesDetermine design requirements and recommend appropriate system architecture and technical solutionsDevelop schematics, simulations, assembly drawings, bills of materials, and engineering documentationEvaluate design feasibility, analyze alternatives, and ensure technical soundness of designsPerform digital and analog circuit design activitiesSupport PCB and schematic design activities while coordinating with fabrication and manufacturing teamsDevelop and execute experiments, testing procedures, and prototype evaluationsAssist in transitioning products from development into manufacturing and production environmentsProvide technical support during manufacturing and resolve design-related issuesPrepare technical reports, specifications, and engineering documentationContribute to project planning, risk evaluation, and process improvement initiativesCollaborate with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams to solve complex technical problemsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline5+ years of experience in electrical engineering and electronic hardware designExperience designing hardware for medical devices, defense systems, or automation products preferredStrong experience with digital and analog circuit designHands-on experience with PCB/PCBA and schematic designExperience with FPGA and VHDL preferredKnowledge of EMC/EMI standards, grounding, shielding, and power system designExperience with cable and cable harness design preferredExposure to electromechanical systems including stepper and servo motors is a plusStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and technical documentation skillsAbility to work independently in a fast-paced onsite engineering environmentCompensation (NH Pay Transparency):Estimated hourly range: $85–$90/hr (W-2)Final rate within this range will be based on skills, experience, and interview results.
