Procurement Manager (Chemical)Must have 5 years of Indirect Sourcing from Chemical Manufacturing background.SOFTWARE: SAP, ITE and Cloud based sourcing applicationMaster’s degree or supply chain certifications (CPSM, CSCP, CPM) preferred.The Procurement Manager is responsible for sourcing indirect materials, services, and contractors that support plant operations in a chemical manufacturing environment. Then this opportunity could be the right fit for you.Responsibilities:Develop and implement sourcing strategies to meet the company's procurement goals and objectives.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify sourcing needs and requirements.Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.Manage supplier relationships and performance to ensure on-time delivery of quality products.Monitor and analyze supplier performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact sourcing activities.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement category management strategies.Keep detailed records on procurement activity, materials quantity, specifications etc.Assist in forecasting to plan future orders.Work with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, EH&S, and IT to understand site needs.Manage procurement for capital projects, including bids, contractor selection, and cost analysis.Improve purchasing, invoicing, and supplier onboarding with AP, Finance, and Procurement teams.Identify opportunities for automation and digital procurement improvements.Drive cost savings and reduce unmanaged indirect spend.Support budgeting and forecasting for indirect categories.Ensure reliable supply of MRO and indirect materials.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.5+ years of procurement or sourcing experience in manufacturing (chemical preferred).Experience with indirect categories (MRO, facilities, utilities, engineering services, capital equipment).Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier‑management skills.Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or similar systems.Strong analytical and project‑management abilities.Ask for Jasleenjasleen@ajuliaexecutivesearch.comAjulia Executive Search is a search firm specializing in Manufacturing, Finance, IT, Legal and Pharmaceutical positions.
