The driver is responsible for loading and unloading the truck according to the established standard operating procedures to prevent cross-contamination of feed products. The truck driver must follow the directions of the supervisor and always maintain accurate paper work. The driver is responsible for superior customer service as well as compliance with Department of Transportation safety rules and regulations, company policies, local, state and federal as well as OSHA and FSMA policies, laws, and regulations.Responsibilities of the Position:Deliver feed from mill to production facilities and other destinations on a timely and efficient mannerAssist with local mix schedule and prepare mixes to specificationsResponsible for inspection of all equipment before loadingResponsible for unloading correct feed at intended destination in proper bin/warehouseComplete required paperwork timely and accuratelyFollow biosecurity rules and BSE rulesMaintain truck and equipment on a regular scheduleEnsure sales tickets are made out prior to loading and deliveryMaintain a clean and safe working environmentAssist in bagging of feed productsPerform routine maintenance and housekeepingAll other duties as assignedQualificationsMust be 18 years of age or olderMust be able to lift 50 pounds or more on a regular basisAbility to operate forklift and warehouse machineryMust be able to stand and sit for long periods of time, bend, kneel, and have good leg and finger dexterityMust have to be able to obtain a Class B CDL License with air break endorsement. Class A preferred.Have a good driving record
