This role offers a balance of hands-on work and coordination, ensuring that projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will gain valuable experience working directly with general contractors, subcontractors, and ATMI teams, while also building technical expertise in field fixes, welding, and jobsite operations.SummaryThe Field Operations Technician is responsible for managing weekly assignments provided by project management. This includes coordination with general contractors and ATMI subcontractors to ensure quality work and schedules are met. The role supports delivery of panels and pole braces and works closely with project management, production, and yard/shipping departments.ResponsibilitiesTrack quantity of bracesMaintain company vehicle used for jobsite activitiesUtilize construction drawings and erection sequence information to observe and report progress or issues on job erectionBand braces and load them onto flatbed trailersAttend jobsite visits and meetings to track progress and take notes for the Project ManagerPerform yard fixes that require welding, cutting, or other repair workSchedule all pole brace pick-ups with project managementPerform field fixes, pulling camber, and patching as neededCoordinate with ATMI Indy subcontractors when requiredComplete other duties as assignedRequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredCertified WelderStrong verbal and written communication skillsDependable and available during off hoursMust have reliable transportation (public transportation not available in this area)Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug screeningsMust be able to follow instructions, particularly those regarding safetyMust be able to work effectively with a teamForklift and man lift certification requiredPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit for long periods of time and stand or walk occasionally, sometimes on uneven groundAbility to lift, push, or pull up to 75 lbsAbility to perform tasks with repetitive use of hands, wrists, and armsMust be able to start work at 6 am HoursTypically 40 or more hours per weekSome Saturdays may be required
