Quoting Estimator

Position Responsibilities:Review Requests for Quotes (RFQ’s), prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, prints, 3D models, specifications, and related documentation.Prepare New or Update existing cost estimates by analyzing material, labor, outside processes, and time requirements.Request and Review supplier pricing and documentationProduce timely, accurate, and complete estimates for manufacturing projectsSupport evaluation and improvement of manufacturing methods and cost efficiencyPerform additional duties as assigned by the Quoting Manager.Use ERP system to check current material inventory and pricing. As well as check historical pricing of existing parts.Create and send customer quote letters with all pricing details, tooling cost, engineering costs, and exceptions.Other duties as assignedQualifications:Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, or schematics; experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks is a plus.1+ year of manufacturing experience preferredStrong interpersonal, written, organizational and communication skills.High attention to detail, analytical thinking, accuracy, time management, and strong organizational skills.Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.Ability to work in a team-oriented manufacturing environmentAdvanced skillset in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Adobe pdf editingMust be authorized to access export-controlled information in compliance with U.S. ITAR regulations; therefore, applicants must be U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or otherwise eligible under ITAR requirements.Benefits and PerksMethode offers US employees Medical, Dental, Vision, Hearing, Life & Disability insurance, a wellness program, and time off benefits.Voluntary benefit plans include Accident, Hospital Indemnity and Pet Insurance.Methode provides an Employee Assistance Program, and participation in the Company’s 401(k) plan which includes a company contribution.Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
