Job DescriptionBe Connected Digital Innovation Assistant-2026 Academic YearHelp Shape Bradley's Digital Campus Experience!Want to help design, build, and promote the digital home for Bradley University?Join the Be Connected Student Team and make a real impact on how students, faculty, and staff access information, connect with each other, and navigate university life.We're looking for creative, collaborative, and tech-savvy students to support Be Connected 2.0-the next phase of Bradley's digital engagement platform (powered by Pathify). Students selected for this team will serve in one or several functional roles, each shaping a different part of the platform experience.About Be ConnectedBe Connected is Bradley's unified digital experience platform-your one-stop hub for systems, services, events, academics, campus life, and more. Its purpose is to provide a holistic, student-centered digital experience that improves success, connection, and confidence across all Bradley communities.Whether it's finding resources, navigating campus services, or staying engaged, Be Connected aims to make information easy, intuitive, and accessible when users need it.You will help with the following tasks as part of a team of students.User Experience (UX) & SatisfactionHelp us understand what users need.Conduct micro-surveys, feedback forms, and pop-up interviews.Organize small focus groups and usability tests.Identify UX issues and propose actionable improvements.Assist in analyzing analyticsPresent insights during team meetings.Content & CommunicationsShape the voice of Be Connected.Write announcements, spotlights, and success stories.Create visuals or short-form videos for Be ConnectedMaintain a lively, student-centered tone aligned with Bradley branding.Assist with platform-wide communication campaigns.Support accessibility improvements in written content.Campus OutreachBe the face of Be Connected across campus.Promote Be Connected at events (Visit Days, Orientation, Late Night BU...)Partner with student organizations to build out relevant content.Demonstrate platform features to students, faculty, and staffEncourage adoption through peer-to-peer engagement.Track outreach impact and recommend improvements.Technical Operations & DataSupport the structure that keeps Be Connected running.Maintain categories, tags, and organizational structureAssist with analytics reports (usage, page views, search behavior).Help track content health, flag outdated resources, and support workflows.Test new Pathify features and assist with configuration.Serve as a bridge between functional and technical needs.Content MigrationHelp bring important campus information into Be Connected.Review current bradley.edu information selected for the intranet.Rewrite, reorganize, or condense content to fit Be Connected formats.Ensure information is accurate, accessible, and up-to-date.Work with campus partners to verify correctness during migration.Upload content into Be Connected and apply tagging/meta-data.Maintain a shared content inventory to track migration status.Personal Benefits:Be part of a fun, forward-thinking project that's shaping the future of Bradley's digital experience.Gain skills that boost your education and future career through hands-on, real UX, content strategy, communications, or technical workGrow as a professional-strengthen your leadership, design, communication, and project management skills.Work directly with classmates, faculty, and staff to create engaging digital experiences for the Bradley community.Collaborate with university teams on exciting initiatives that impact students across campus.Build your network by connecting with campus leaders and key university partners.Share your work confidently by presenting ideas and solutions that shape Bradley's digital portalFlexible schedule that works around your classes.Required Qualifications:A strong eye for user experience-you love making things clean, simple, and engaging.Comfortable with technology, with a willingness to learn new digital tools quickly.Creative problem-solver who enjoys finding solutions and improving processes.Team player who can bring fresh ideas with strong communication skillsSelf-motivated and proactive, able to work independently while thriving as part of a team.Enrolled full-time with a minimum GPA of 3.0Able to commit to a minimum of 6 hours per week, including a weekly team meetingDependable, professional, and able to maintain confidentiality (especially around student and employee records)Additional preferred skills may include:Writing, editing, or content creation experienceResearch, survey, or feedback collection experienceWeb development familiarity (HTML/CSS/JavaScript)Data or analytics interestGraphic design or multimedia skillsStrong interpersonal or outreach abilitiesHow to ApplyPlease submit the following:ResumeInclude any relevant experience such as digital projects, writing samples, design work, outreach involvement, or a portfolio link (if applicable). Some undergraduate students (with limited family resources as determined by the results of the FAFSA) qualify for Work Study funds to help offset costs of college. This is a federally-funded opportunity to earn "spending money" through part-time, on-campus employment. Eligibility for work-study does not guarantee you will find a campus job.
