In this role you will work within our Investment Team to build and maintain strong relationships with our West Coast clients while developing and strengthening a solid understanding of the global primary fund universe across all private market strategies.Your Responsibilities Will IncludeLeading day-to-day client coverage including regular client visits.Managing junior resources to oversee creation of key client deliverables.Strategic plan creation / oversightPortfolio construction alongside Portfolio Management GroupQuarterly Review of portfolioAllocation discussionsReporting & Monitoring for client portfoliosRegular portfolio updatesQuarterly reportsClient communicationsPipeline calls / monthly callsMarket updatesAd-hoc client requestsLeading cross-selling and up-selling of HL products and services with existing clientsPartnering with Sales/ Client Solutions to support pitch activities for prospective clients by being the expert on our management of Separate Account and Advisory relationshipsManaging and/or cultivating fund manager relationships, fostering West Coast US manager coverage to drive opportunities alongside our secondaries and direct investing teamsOverseeing the due diligence process for primary investmentsLead fund manager on-site visitsReview all diligence materials as completed by Analyst or Analyst and deal managerPresent deals at Pre-Investment Committee meetingsDeveloping expertise in specific primary strategies, enabling ability to speak to similarities/differences of managers who pursue similar investment approachesAbility to speak and become a subject matter expert on all Private Market strategies and competitive landscapesAttending Annual/Advisory board meetings and conferencesAssisting in the development and mentoring of junior professionalsYour Background Will Include10+ years of work experience in a financial industry/private markets client-facing settingUniversity degree. A Master's degree and/or CFA are a plusAbility to develop a working knowledge of our proprietary systemsStrong analytical, written, and oral communication skillsAbility to work proactively and independently in a team settingAbility to TravelFluency in English requiredBenefitsSalary range for this position: $175,000 to $275,000 per year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
