HR Generalist

Join our vibrant team as an HR Generalist! We're looking for a dedicated professional to support a wide range of HR functions, including onboarding, performance management, training, and employee relations. You’ll work closely with our Human Resources / Office Manager to drive HR best practices and foster positive relationships between staff and senior management. Ready to make a difference? As a note: This position is NOT remote and will be located in Westlake, Ohio.
What Your Responsibilities Will Look Like:
Maintenance of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), including processing employee changes
Communicate employee updates with the IT Department to ensure accuracy within all ECHO-related systems
Assist in the creation and updating of job requirements when needed
Contact applicant references and perform background checks required by the company
Organize and manage new employee orientation, onboarding, and training programs
Process new hire and termination paperwork
Explain and provide information on employee benefits, programs, and education
Process benefit changes and manage the Open Enrollment process
Maintain employee records and paperwork
Maintain labor posting requirements
Answer employee questions and address employee concerns with the company; including employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health
Involvement in team efforts for HR-related projects
Other duties as required
Qualifications to Be an HR Generalist:
Degree in human resources, business, or a related field, or recent prior experience in human resources
3-5 years of experience in an HR-related position
Familiarity with HR policies and procedures required
Excellent interpersonal relationship-building skills
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
Customer-focused attitude, with a high level of professionalism and discretion
Familiarity with MS Office suite
Excellent communication skills
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms and lift up to 25 pounds
