These services enable the client to remain in his or her residence and include, but are not limited to, assistance with the following: bathing, dressing, feeding, exercising, personal hygiene and grooming, transferring, ambulating, positioning, toileting and incontinence care, assisting with medication that the client self-administers, housekeeping, meal planning and preparation, laundry, transportation, correspondence, making telephone calls, shopping for personal care items or groceries, and companionship.Personal Care Attendant-Caregivers are responsible for ensuring that service is delivered in a caring and respectful manner, in accordance with relevant Agency policies, industry standards, and state regulations.Eligibility Requirements:Minimum Qualifications:18 years of age or olderValid I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification documentsAble to obtain during onboarding process:Clearance Verified on the Home Care Aide RegistryCurrent Tuberculosis (TB) certificateRegistered with state of CA and active HCA numberCompleted "Criminal Record Statement" (LIC 508)Complete "Personnel Record" (LIC 501)Complete "Statement Acknowledging Requirement to Report Suspected Abuse of Dependent Adults and Elders" (SOC 341A)Minimum of five (5) hours entry-level orientation training prior to presence with client(s)Preferred:Current drivers' license (if transporting clients or running errands)Valid vehicle insurance coverage (required if using vehicle during shifts)Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:Assist with the activities of daily living and personal care including:bathing - shaving - ambulationmouth care - dressing - exercisinghair care - feeding - toileting/incontinence carenail care - positioning - medication remindingskin care - transferring - meal planning & preparationWork schedule:OtherDay shiftNight shiftOn callWeekend availabilityMonday to FridayBenefits:Paid trainingReferral programFlexible schedulePaid time off401(k)
