CAPACITY PLANNER I

Job DescriptionDynamic, collaborative, creative, motivated - not the typical words you think of when describing a Freight Forwarder, but then again, our award-winning culture and team are far from commonplace in this industryMajor Duties and Responsibilities:Coordinates with procurement, production, inventory control, distribution, transportation, and other functions to optimize the supply chain. Identifies bottlenecks or problem areas and escalates or proposes solutions. Works with suppliers to resolve issues. Assist in the negotiation of contracts or service arrangements. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Required Skills, Experience, and Education:High School Diploma or equivalentNo prior experience necessaryWork independently or in a team setting, in a fast-paced environmentDesired Skills, Experience, and Education:Bachelor's degree1-2 years of experienceConfident, team-orientedSelf-managed and highly motivatedDisplays integrity, reliability, empathy and a strong work ethicPossesses excellent verbal and written communication skillsResults-oriented; Displays sense of urgencyWork under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities. Physical Requirements:Remain in a stationary/seated position for an extended period. Regularly required to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and other office machinery. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work. The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds.
