Location: Hybrid, Midtown, New York, NY
Compensation: $175K–$225K + 0.5–0.75% equity
Visa: STEM OPT sponsorship possible for the right candidate
About Client: Building the trusted knowledge/data platform for the $13T construction industry — AI-powered data warehousing, ETL, and analytics for construction firms like ARCO, Suffolk, and Mortenson. VC-backed, fast-growing, ~7-person team.
What You'll Do
Design and build integrations and analytical capabilities for the Client platform
Build and maintain scalable ETL infrastructure with near-zero downtime in high-stakes environments
Build agentic AI systems for construction office and field teams
Build and ship new features/products end-to-end (0→1)
Required Technical Skills
Ruby or Python (proficiency required; Ruby on Rails a plus)
React (for full-stack familiarity)
ETL tools: Fivetran, Airbyte, Airflow, DBT (or similar)
Job/message processing systems (e.g., queues, background workers)
Experience deploying/maintaining infrastructure in production (on-prem and cloud)
Nice-to-Have
Terraform
Multi-tenant architecture experience
Knowledge graphs / data ontologies / enterprise AI applications
Experience
2–8 years backend or backend-leaning full-stack engineering
Background in high-volume systems: payments orchestration, data pipelines/ETL, financial transaction platforms, or multi-tenant systems
Seed–Series C startup experience preferred (avoid candidates with only Big Tech experience)
Has built/owned something 0→1
Undergrad in CS

Pay: $133,056.95 - $160,240.63 per year
