CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT – PLATTE CITY, MOSalary based on experience.Retirement and health benefits available. Unger & Marsh, a public accounting firm located in Platte City, MO, is looking to hire a Full Time CPA to consult and guide both our business and individual clients. Unger & Marsh was established in 1993 and has continued to grow over the years. We specialize in tax preparation and business consulting. This position is perfect for someone who is looking to work with individuals and business owners in a relaxed environment. You will work one on one in person with clients and manage the relationship and your role will be as CFO for our clients. Minimum Qualifications: Licensed Certified Public Accountant3 – 5 years experience in preparing and reviewing Corporate and Individual Income Tax returns.3 – 5 years experience in preparing financial statements.Additional Experience Required:Fixed asset management;QuickBooks Desktop;QuickBooks Online;Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual budgets;Researching and resolving tax issues and working with federal and state agencies; andPayroll functions including retirement plans, health plans and government requirements.The ideal candidate is comfortable with direct communication with clients, including face to face meetings, and experience with QuickBooks and Drake Tax Software (not a requirement). Our office prepares personal, business, farm, estate and trust tax returns. Expected Job Duties: Prepare business and individual tax returnsOvertime hour during tax season – as needed Assist business clients with a wide range of accounting services including:preparing month end closings and reconciliations;quarterly/annual review of client prepared financial statements;year-end adjusting journal entries;tax planning and consulting;fixed asset consulting including purchases, sales and exchanges; andpayroll services and consulting.
