Facilities Manager

Facilities Manager Reports to: Vice President of Finance and Operations Status: Full-time, exempt Location: On-site, Escondido, CA Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000, commensurate with experience Benefits: Full benefits package including 7% retirement contribution, medical, dental, and vision for employee and family, vacation and sick time. Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a facility's physical operations, including building maintenance, safety compliance, renovations, construction projects, and managing facility staff, while ensuring the smooth functioning and optimal condition of the campus. Encompasses Upper Campus and Student Housing Village Maintain comprehensive preventative maintenance schedule and records for the following areas: Fire Alarm, Sprinkler and Extinguishers HVAC Hot Water Heaters Landscape and Grounds Backflows Conduct monthly physical plant inspections for the following areas: Emergency exits Parking lots Walkways Exterior/interior lighting Roofing Exterior/interior painting Landscape and Perimeter Fencing and Gates Village Dumpster Enclosures Commons interior/exterior Apartment building "cubbies", stairways, landings and patios. Perform light maintenance as appropriate to skills and abilities. Solicit proposals from, coordinate and oversee the work of all physical plant vendors to the Seminary's satisfaction. Coordinate and oversee all student maintenance and landscape workers. Coordinate all physical plant inspections required by law with inspectors and appropriate seminary personnel. Ensure janitorial services are performed according to agreement and are appropriately supplied. Coordinate with Housing and Resident Coordinators to give appropriate notice to residents of all vendor repairs and inspections that require entry or interruption of water or electricity service. Meet with and advise WSC Housing Committee as needed. Education, Experience, and Expectations: Required Profession of Christian faith. Willingness to adhere to WSC's code of conduct and behavioral standards. 3-5 years of experience in facility management, maintenance or related areas. Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to work independently to accomplish departmental and organizational goals. Good customer service, interpersonal, and written communication skills, coupled with a desire to represent WSC in a positive and professional manner. Good working knowledge of computer and related software programs including Email, Word, and Excel. Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with staff, faculty, and students. Preferred College degree or certifications in related field(s) preferred. Technical Knowledge preferred: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security systems. Project Management experience preferred: Overseeing construction or renovation projects. Leadership/management preferred: Experience managing subordinates preferred.
