Tax AccountantRound Rock, TX | Full-Time | Exempt | OnsiteAbout the RoleTECO-Westinghouse Motor Company is seeking a detail-oriented Tax Accountant with 1–2 years of experience to join our Finance/Tax team.This role is ideal for an early-career tax professional looking to grow within a global manufacturing organization. You'll support corporate income tax compliance, tax provision (ASC 740), and international tax reporting, including exposure to operations in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.Key ResponsibilitiesTax Compliance & Reporting Prepare and assist with federal, state, and local income tax returns and supporting workpapersMaintain tax calendars and ensure timely filingsPrepare book-to-tax adjustments and reconcile tax-related accountsSupport tax filings and compliance across U.S. and international jurisdictionsTax Provision (ASC 740) Assist with current and deferred tax calculationsSupport quarterly and annual tax provision processesContribute to foreign tax provision calculations for Canada and MexicoInternational & Transfer Pricing Assist with foreign income tax filings and supporting documentationCoordinate with internal teams and external advisors for global complianceSupport intercompany transactions and transfer pricing activitiesAudit & Documentation Prepare documentation for income tax audits and respond to requestsMaintain organized and audit-ready tax files and schedulesResearch & Process Improvement Conduct research on federal, state, and international tax issuesMonitor changes in tax legislation impacting the businessIdentify opportunities to improve tax processes and efficiencyQualificationsRequired Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field1–2 years of tax experience (public accounting or industry)Exposure to corporate income tax conceptsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective written and verbal communicationPreferred Experience with a Big 4 or regional public accounting firmExposure to multi-state or international tax (Canada/Mexico a plus)Experience with SAP or similar ERP systemsTechnical Skills Familiarity with tax provision software (OneSource or similar)Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, basic modeling)Understanding of GAAP and ASC 740 fundamentalsCertifications CPA preferred or actively pursuing CPAWhy Join TECO-Westinghouse?
