*Overview*
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Licensed Foster Parents to provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive home environment for children and youth in need. This vital role involves caring for children with varied backgrounds and needs, including those with developmental disabilities or involved in child welfare and adoption processes. The ideal candidate will be committed to promoting stability, growth, and positive development for foster children while adhering to child protective services standards. Foster parents can be short term or long-term caregivers for youth between the ages of 0 and 18.

*Duties*
* Provide a secure, stable home environment that promotes emotional and physical well-being for foster children.
* Support the child's developmental needs through attentive childcare, fostering social skills, and encouraging positive behavior.
* Collaborate with child welfare agencies and social workers to ensure compliance with licensing requirements and care plans.
* Assist children with their educational needs and facilitate access to community resources.
* Maintain detailed records of the child's progress, health, and behavioral developments in accordance with agency policies.
* Participate in ongoing training related to child protective services, child welfare practices, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
* Foster open communication with biological families when appropriate to support reunification or permanency planning.
* Promote adoption opportunities when suitable, providing a supportive environment for children transitioning toward permanency.
*Requirements*
* Obtain valid license as a Foster Parent through our 10-week course and background check processes.
* Experience working with children, including those with developmental disabilities or special needs preferred but not required.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with children, families, and professionals.
* Ability to manage challenging behaviors with patience and professionalism.
* Commitment to ongoing education in childcare strategies and safety protocols related to foster care.
Pay: $26.10 - $108.77 per day
