Toledo Industrial Coatings is located in Roseville, CA and we are a “One Stop Shop” for all Western US Field Industrial Painting/Coating/Lining, Lead Abatement and Cleaning Services. Any thing to do with Steel and Concrete Corrosion Prevention Protection is our specialty.
Toledo Industrial Coatings is a family-owned, full-service industrial painting and coating company. We service customers in the manufacturing industry and are looking for an Industrial Painter to join our team.
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the surface preparation, masking, and painting/coating of metal and concrete components to a highly protected, and sometimes cosmetic finish. Components may be composed of metal, concrete or plastic. Industrial coatings will require mixing epoxies, polyurethanes, mastics and a variety of dual components coatings and basic painting single component materials. Solvent cleansers and non-caustic solutions are also used.
Painters may need to operate heavy machinery, requiring stamina and physical strength. Alternative shift times may be required per project. Various work environments such as temperature, climate, and conditions will vary depending on the project. Traveling within CA is needed, however, outside CA is negotiable. Painters are also required to maintain the painting equipment and ensure that they are in working order.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED
Industrial Painting / Surface Preparation experience is required
NACE/SSPC Certs are accepted
Experience in painting a variety of surface types
Understand how to mix and spray multi-component / industrial coatings
Use plural and singular pumps
Sandblasting and welding a plus
Proficiency with technical machinery including forklifts, generators, compressors, etc.
Physical strength required to operate machinery with diligence and attention to detail
Excellent dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Good organizational skills
Supervise and instruct painters/laborers
General computer knowledge such as: Google drive, navigating documents in Microsoft and timesheet tracking
Reading comprehension and ability to complete forms/reports is a must
Medical Evaluation required
Possession of Valid Driver’s License with clean DMV record

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, employees are frequently required to sit for periods of time, use hands and fingers to maneuver, handle, or feel various objects, tools, or controls; as well as talking and listening. Employee will be occasionally required to: stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Employee will be required to repeatedly climb vertical ladders (varying per project)

Pay varies: Per project, Prevailing Wage within State, Federal, Local government agencies
