Accounting Manager/Controller

Cole Roofing company, a 100-year-old commercial roofing firm, is seeking an Accounting Manager for our Baltimore location. We will continue to grow the company further towards a successful and high-performance workplace. Responsibilities include: Reports to Chief Financial Officer. Perform monthly general ledger accounting close including account reconciliations and G/L analysis. Prepare monthly bank reconciliation and related journal entries. Weekly payroll reporting and oversight as well as monthly and quarterly payroll reports. Oversite and preparation of monthly customer invoicing. Oversite of Accounts Receivable. The candidate for this position should have a record of: Following proper accounting procedures to accurately measure financial results. Flexibility, organization, and a high level of integrity. Accountability and transparency. Attention to details and timely deliverables. Requirements: Minimum of three years' experience as an Accounting Manager or Bookkeeper. Sound knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations. Proficient in Excel. Experience with accounting software. Comfortable working in a construction company environment. Excellent communication and listening skills. Ability to evaluate situations and make decisions. Value learning and personal development. Preferred, but not required: Four-year BS or BA degree in Accounting or related field. Experience with construction related accounting. Working knowledge of Foundation construction accounting software or similar accounting package.
