Agentic Engineering Lead
Overview
In this role you lead the transformation of Engineering through AI, automation, and agentic software. You will set technical direction, build agentic capabilities, and partner with teams to adapt the Agentic SDLC to their architectures and constraints. You’ll design scalable agent architectures, ensure data governance, and drive adoption and measurability of agentic engineering across the organization. This is a hands-on leadership role shaping how engineering operates at scale with a mission to enable faster, higher-quality delivery.

ResponsibilitiesArchitect and implement agentic workflows across the software development lifecycle and Engineering OperationsTranslate standards, playbooks, governance, and systems of record into automated workflows, controls, and agentsDefine the engineering data architecture and systems-of-record with integrations, context, and traceability for agentic workflowsDefine scalable patterns for agent architecture, context, handoffs, guardrails, evaluation, and observabilityAdvise engineering teams on adopting the Agentic SDLC for their architectures, workflows, risks, and mission requirementsDevelop reusable agentic capabilities and patterns scalable across EngineeringMeasure adoption and effectiveness of agentic capabilities and iterate for improvement
Key requirements15+ years with a bachelor’s, 10+ with a master’s, 8+ with a PhD, or equivalent experienceDeep software engineering and architecture expertise including modern SDLC, automation, APIs, developer tooling, and systems integrationHands-on experience designing and building AI agents, agentic systems, or AI-enabled engineering workflowsStrong understanding of LLMs, context engineering, orchestration, evaluation, observability, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop patternsProven ability to establish technical direction and influence senior engineers, architects, and leaders across an organizationleadership and influence across engineering teamscross-functional collaborationstrategic thinking and decision makingAI agents and agentic systemsLLMs and context engineeringengineering data architecture and systems-of-record
