Job Title: Full Stack Node.JS & AWS Generative AI EngineerLocation: Des Moines, IA 50309Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 Days Onsite)Employment Type: ContractDuration: 6 months (June 22, 2026 – December 31, 2026)Pay Range: $50.45/hr. to $55.38/hr. on W2 | $64.29/hr. to $72.00/hr. on C2CDomain: Healthcare / Insurance TechnologyApplication Deadline: June 20, 2026Note: The selection process includes a rigorous live technical coding assessment.SKILLS REQUIREDPrimary (Must-Have):• Node.js & TypeScript: Professional backend and full-stack development experience utilizing TypeScript as the primary ecosystem.• AWS Cloud Ecosystem: Hands-on mastery of foundational AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, EventBridge, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, CloudWatch, and AWS Fargate.• AWS Bedrock & Generative AI: Minimum of 1 year of production experience building Generative AI platforms, enterprise knowledge assistants, and chatbots.• RAG Architecture: Strong understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) paradigms, including embeddings, text chunking strategies, semantic retrieval, and vector search.• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Advanced automation provisioning using AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) to build and deploy architecture.• Core Engineering Fundamentals: Deep proficiency in RESTful API engineering, software testing, debugging, and production CI/CD pipelines.Secondary (Good to Have):• LLM Fine-Tuning & Controls: Practical knowledge adjusting hyperparameters (top-k, top-p) and structuring prompt design for improved grounding and reliability.• AI Security Governance: Experience establishing guardrails, mitigation techniques for hallucinations, and safety controls against prompt injection or jailbreak attempts.• Cross-functional Collaboration: Proven ability to interface with product, QA, architecture, and information security departments within a high-velocity environment.POSITION OVERVIEWWe are searching for a Senior Full Stack AI Engineer to design and deploy enterprise-scale Generative AI applications out of our Des Moines, IA office. This hybrid role requires a strong, hands-on engineering background centered on Node.js/TypeScript and AWS. You will be responsible for bringing AI capabilities (such as RAG-driven knowledge assistants and custom copilots) out of experimental stages and into production-grade business workflows.
