Apartment Manager in Training
We are seeking a person that wants to start a career not find a job! We have two job openings. One is near Fountain Square. The other job opportunity is at 2425 N. Meridian Street working out of our corporate office.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the apartment complex, ensuring smooth functioning and tenant satisfaction.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant laws and regulations, including Fair Housing regulations, to ensure compliance.
- Conduct property tours and effectively market available units to prospective tenants.
- Process rental applications, conduct background checks, and verify income to determine tenant eligibility.
- Coordinate move-in and move-out procedures, including inspections and lease signings.
- Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records of all leasing activities, tenant interactions, and maintenance work orders.
- Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure prompt resolution of maintenance issues and repairs.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monitor expenses to ensure financial goals are met.
- Implement effective strategies to attract and retain tenants, including resident events and community outreach initiatives.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of property management laws and regulations, including Fair Housing regulations.
- Proven sales skills with the ability to effectively market available units and close lease agreements.
- Proficiency in property management software such as AppFolio, Yardi, CMMS, or OneSite.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills to handle lease agreements, rent collection, and record keeping.
- Ability to effectively communicate with tenants, vendors, and team members in a professional manner.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address tenant concerns and resolve conflicts.
- Experience with contract management for vendor services.
