Position Title
Engineering Technician IV (Field Program Support)
Position Summary
TTI is seeking an Engineering Technician IV to support our team in Phoenix, AZ. This role provides a balance of field and administrative support to engineering and environmental programs, including field data collection and verification, as well as program coordination, budgeting, and contractor support.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working both in an office setting and in outdoor environments, supporting field activities while maintaining strong organizational and coordination responsibilities.
Compensation
Hourly rate: $26.00 per hour
Health & Welfare benefit: $5.09 per hour
Key Responsibilities
Field Support
Support field data collection, verification, and documentation efforts
Assist with right-of-way (ROW) verification and site inspections
Work alongside foresters and other departmental teams during field activities
Travel to field sites as needed to support program requirements
Assist with verifying contractor work and field conditions
Program & Administrative Support
Track program budgets (G9000 and IVM), including cost tracking and reporting
Support PR/PO entry and tracking, ensuring proper approvals and coding
Review and prepare contractor invoices and supporting documentation
Maintain organized project documentation and ensure data integrity
Coordinate between government staff, contractors, and internal teams
Assist with scheduling, reporting, and general program support
Field & Travel Requirements
Combination of office-based work and field support activities
Ability to travel up to 25% as needed
May be required to operate a government vehicle
Ability to work in varying outdoor conditions
Required Qualifications
Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Environmental Planning, Business Administration, or related field; Bachelor’s preferred
Equivalent experience may be substituted
2–4+ years of experience in field support, project coordination, or technical/administrative roles
Willingness and ability to work in both office and field environments
Strong organizational and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting utility, environmental, or infrastructure projects
Familiarity with right-of-way verification, site inspections, or field data collection
Experience with budgeting, procurement (PR/PO), or financial tracking
Experience working with contractors in both field and office settings
Experience supporting government or utility contracts
Physical & Other Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds
Ability to walk, stand, and work in outdoor environments as needed
Willingness to work onsite in Phoenix, AZ
