You'll take on quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, bid preparation, and project documentation while learning the tools and techniques that drive winning proposals. This is a hands‐on, fast‐paced opportunity designed to launch your career and build the skills that lead to future roles in estimating, project management, and construction operations.Primary/ Key ResponsibilitiesRequest material and subcontractor quotesRun Agtek earthwork software for takeoffsUse bid‐opportunity platforms to identify available projectsUtilize HCSS to price projects once all required information is gathered download project document.Set up projects once awardedAssist estimators with preparing quantity takeoffs and cost estimatesReview drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine scope requirementsAttend pre‐bid meetings and site visits as neededGather subcontractor and supplier pricing for bidsSupport the preparation of bid proposals, spreadsheets, and cost breakdownsMaintain organized estimate files, logs, and documentationAssist with analyzing historical cost data and updating internal databasesCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure accurate project information.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED; college coursework in construction, engineering, or related fields preferredStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to read or willingness to learn to read construction drawings and specificationsStrong analytical and problem‐solving abilitiesHigh attention to detail and ability to manage confidential informationAbility to work collaboratively with team members at all levelsEssential SkillsStrong organizational and time‐management abilitiesBasic proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, and database softwareAbility to work with numerical data and perform basic calculationsWillingness to learn estimating software and digital takeoff toolsWork RequirementsFlexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends during active bid cyclesAbility to perform effectively in a fast‐paced environment and meet critical deadlinesProficiency with computers and standard office equipmentAbility to remain focused while working at a computer for extended periodsWillingness to travel to job sites or other locations as neededStrong written and verbal communication skillsWhat CRH Offers YouHighly competitive base payComprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programsGroup retirement savings programHealth and wellness programsAn inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotionAbout CRHCRH has a long and proud heritage.
