Sanneh asserts that all individuals, without exception, are intrinsically valuable.Values:AccountabilityCaringFunGrowth & LearningRespectAdaptabilityPosition DescriptionReporting directly to the Vice President of Philanthropy, the responsibility of the Development Manager is to ensure faithful adherence to and the success of The Sanneh Foundation's holistic fundraising practices. The Development Manager will work closely with the Vice President of Philanthropy and the CEO to establish new and strengthen existing relationships with donors and funders in order to continue to build a sustainable funding model. In addition, the Development Manager will provide support for Sanneh's ongoing comprehensive campaign as needed. Competitive candidates for this role will have prior experience across fundraising methods, an entrepreneurial mindset, attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.Roles and ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.General Development FunctionsCollaborate with the VP of Philanthropy to develop and implement an annual resource development plan, including strategies for individual donors, foundation grants, and corporate partnerships, including campaigns and events.Work collaboratively with Development and Marketing Teams to prepare materials, coordinate, and implement Donor Lifecycle, Newsletters, Year-End Campaigns, and more.Manage research on donor and funder prospects and support the creation of targeted appeals, grant applications, and overall moves management.Manage development data entry and donor acknowledgement, ensure accuracy and data security, and maintain online donation platforms.Support preparation for team meetings, Development Committee meetings, Board meetings, planning meetings, year-end reporting, and more.Support research, strategy, and moves management as needed for The Sanneh Foundation's $50M comprehensive campaign.Consider innovative ways to further improve The Sanneh Foundation's fundraising strategies.Minimum Education & QualificationsPrevious experience in fundraising across individual and institutional giving, including events and volunteer management.Proven ability to execute effectively with a commitment to data quality and process transparency.Strong interpersonal communication and relationship building skills and the ability to engage diverse donors and stakeholders.Solution-oriented approach, with excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.Experience with data-driven decision making and the ability to track, analyze, and report on fundraising performance.Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.An entrepreneurial mindset and commitment to equity.A passion for The Sanneh Foundation's mission to empower youth, improve lives, and unite communities.Preferred Education & QualificationsBachelor's Degree preferred.Experience with donor databases, data analytics tools, Google Workplace, and web-based project management programs like Monday.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position may directly supervise the Development VISTA(s), if appropriate.
