Building Maintenance Technician (Entry-Level) - PDS TechLocation: McDonough, GAPay Rate: $ 19.00/hourSchedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (overtime as needed)Position Overview:PDS Tech is seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to support general facility maintenance and light industrial equipment needs within a commercial/industrial environment. This role is ideal for candidates with basic maintenance experience who are comfortable using hand and power tools and supporting multiple trades. This is not a highly skilled role but does require reliability, mechanical aptitude, and a strong safety mindset.General Function:The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine facility maintenance, assisting with basic repairs, and supporting preventative maintenance activities. Duties include maintaining building systems, assisting senior technicians, and ensuring the facility remains safe, clean, and operational.Primary Responsibilities:Perform general facility maintenance and repair tasksAssist with lighting repairs and basic electrical workRepair flush valves and unclog drainsPerform painting, debris collection, and minor construction tasksMove, assemble, and install furniture and equipmentAssist with automation equipment repairs and preventative maintenance as directedPerform basic mobile equipment preventative maintenance and minor repairsAssist with HVAC preventative maintenance and minor repairsFollow all safety procedures and site-specific standardsMinimum Requirements:1 year of maintenance experience in a commercial or industrial environmentAbility to use hand tools and power tools safelyAbility to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedlyWillingness to assist across multiple maintenance areasMust be reliable, punctual, and able to work overtime as neededPreferred Qualifications:Ability to read and interpret basic electrical schematics and maintenance proceduresBasic understanding of mechanical, logic, and fluid power diagramsBasic computer and math skillsKnowledge of safety standards including Lock-Out/Tag-Out, MSDS, PPE, and OSHAAbility to assist with troubleshooting using basic root cause analysisAdditional Requirements:Must pass background check and drug screeningMust be authorized to work in the U.S.Pay Details: $19.00 per hourBenefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
