This role is responsible to negotiate terms, draft agreements, and monitor the execution of contracts. Additionally, the individual will participate in significant Customers engagements which include: Major Programs of Record, Competitive Procurements, Firm Fixed Pricing Production Contracts, Complex Engineering Contracts and Service & Development Contracts.The ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player who has strong communication and negotiation skills. They value networking, building relationships and being part of an agile team. They poses strong industry knowledge, a curiosity to learn, have technical contracts expertise, and the ability to use critical thinking skills to solve complex problems and issues.If this seems like an area of interest please read on and apply to find out more about what this position does as a key member of the Contracts team.Responsibilities To Anticipate For This RoleAnalyze requests for proposals or contractual requirements with internal stakeholders, review and provide guidance and recommendations on contractual terms and conditions and overall contract risk assessmentsCollaborate with functional support teams to prepare proposals, contract modifications or other related contract or proposal documentsWork closely with the Program Office in developing contractual, pricing, and negotiation strategies that align with division objectivesOfficial company interface with the customer for all contractual matters on assigned contractsLead negotiations working with a core teamCoordinate all required approvals and notifications pursuant to contract administration procedures and company standard practicesOversee and advise in the preparation, development, and signoff of proposals, negotiations and execution of modificationsFollow-up and track customer correspondence; interface with internal and external customers to ensure prompt resolution of issuesDrafting of internal contract administration documentationQualifications SoughtProfessional experience in contracts, procurement, program management or relevant disciplineAbility to manage multiple responsibilities and accomplish tasks in a timely and professional mannerAdherence to schedules and ability to meet deadlinesAbility to comprehend, interpret, and draft, contractual language and documentsKnowledgeable in the FAR and DFARS requiredStrong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) requiredProficiency in MS Office SuiteBachelor’s degree in business, appropriate Liberal Arts or Science, Engineering. Other bachelor degrees or disciplines considered with experience.Master’s in Business Administration Law Degree preferred.7-10 years of Government contracting experience is an assetAbility to obtain and maintain a security clearance is requiredAbility to travel (up to 10%) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
