Brief DescriptionKitchell seeks an experienced and dedicated Project Manager II to join our Bay Area region in the city of South San Francisco and build a long-term career at one of the most innovative and growth-oriented building companies in the United States.OverviewPerform PM/CM Services as an Owner’s Representative in the public sector for the Essential Services Market (fire and police stations).Duties And ResponsibilitiesAct as a Construction Manager with direct client facing responsibilities Work directly with multiple city departments to provide them with internal resources as support for their need for PM/CM servicesStrong knowledge of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure relation and compliance to project requirementsConduct project meetings and provide documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant informationMaintain and ensure client satisfaction and effectively resolves complaints when necessary in order to secure repeat businessImplement and maintain effective systems of communication within and outside the program to ensure constructive relationships and the adequate flow of informationEnsure contractor, architect, engineer, will adhere to contractual requirements on areas of safety, performance, project staff, and equipmentProvide management of project logistics, organization, safety, and manpower utilizationMonitor project planning and design status to report findings, recommendations, and updatesMay coordinate, direct, and monitor activities of construction management staff, contractors, engineers, architects, and related performing entitiesPerform other duties as assigned RequirementsEducation and ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field is preferred10 or more years of experience in Vertical Construction (public sector strongly preferred) is required with 5 of those years as a Project Manage is required Prior experience working on Civic, Municipal, Justice, or Education market sector construction projects is requiredKnowledge And SkillsKnowledge and application of master planning, A/E solicitation, project development, design-phase management, construction estimating, cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, contracts and delivery methods are requiredStrong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products is requiredUser skills with P6 and Procore are preferredEffective verbal and written communication skills, including the advanced ability to foster and maintain effective interpersonal relationships is requiredLicense and CertificationsA valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record, free from suspensions or restrictions is required.Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly work in an office and or construction environment. Conditions regularly include exposure to outdoor elements, hot/cold temperatures, wet atmospheric conditions, and cramped quarters with occasionally loud noise level in the work. Independent travel throughout the county and state may be required.Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly sit, stand, walk, talk or hear and use hands to finger, feel and handle; frequently reach with hands and arms; occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The Company’s salary ranges are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data.
