Lear Corporation - Sr Program Launch Manager
Responsible for our launch processes to ensure successful transitions to manufacturing; support the Production Department's usage and yield data in root cause analysis and implement robust countermeasures to improve performance; collaborate with R&D and Program Managers to ensure new launch items transition smoothly into production, verifying that manufacturing requirements are met before the launch; responsible for providing specialized engineering support to all manufacturing departments by eliminating waste from processes and reducing the overall cost of manufacturing scrap starting from the new product introduction; collaborate as a key member of our Continuous Improvement team with production managers and supervisors in NCR/8D/PPS investigations, identifying opportunities and analyzing data to improve processes; conduct continuous improvement initiatives, advising managers on eliminating waste including raw material usage, labor, and energy to enhance safety, quality, and cost; develop and update process maps, FMEA, and process control documentation in compliance with the Company's quality policy; identify waste reduction opportunities and assist and lead project teams through Kaizen events; conduct waste process audits to ensure corrective actions are robust and that SOPs are adhered to; responsible for textile manufacturing processes, ensuring adherence to Lear and industry standards and best practices; utilize cut and sew operation, JIT processes, lamination process, quality improvement, problem resolution, customer service, KPIs, cost reduction, supplier management, PFMEA, core quality tools, and product and process audits to perform duties; lead problem-solving initiatives using in-depth knowledge of 8D and Practical Problem Solving (PPS) methodologies to identify root causes and implement effective solutions; communicate and present complex information clearly to stakeholders at all levels, and drive Lean improvement initiatives, including standardized work, 5S, SMED, waste reduction, visual management, Kanban systems, and Andon, to enhance operational efficiency; assist associates in continuous improvement methods, fostering a culture of ongoing learning and development; implement change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and sustainable improvements within the organization; provide strong leadership to guide teams toward achieving operational goals and enhancing productivity; and analyze and interpret P&L statements to inform decision-making and drive financial performance improvements.
