This role involves ownership of our cloud backend infrastructure and data pipelines from design, development, testing, and deployment. You will be instrumental in building new product features, working independently within a collaborative startup environment.Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role based in San Francisco, CA, with flexibility for partial work from home. The Full Stack Engineer will lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of backend cloud systems, cloud data pipelines, and end-device application software.Key Responsibilities Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure and backend servicesBuild, optimize, and maintain robust data pipelines and APIsOwn infrastructure reliability, monitoring, CI/CD, and cloud deployment practicesOperate, maintain, scale, and drive the direction of development for existing infrastructureOperate, maintain, and develop application software for our field-deployed devicesWork cross-functionally with firmware, data engineering, machine learning, and product teams on system-wide architecture, cloud data pipelines, and feature developmentContribute to regulatory documentation and validation efforts in support of clinical trialsRequirements3+ years of experience in cloud systems development (AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar) from design to deployment2+ years industry experience with PythonDeep understanding of best practices across networking and securityExperience with OLTP databases, such as PostgreSQL, and OLAP/data-warehousing, such as Snowflake and modelling tools such as dbtExpertise in core DevOps principles, including CI/CD, IaC, observability, and alertingStrong software engineering fundamentals, with the ability to write clean, reliable codeTrack record of independent problem-solving and the ability to drive projects to completion proactivelyDemonstrated ability and willingness to quickly acquire new technical skills to meet project demandsStrong communication, collaboration, and organizational skillsInterest in building impactful products in the health sectorFamiliarity with a startup environmentPreferred QualificationsProficiency with AWS systemsExperience in the healthcare spaceExperience in building cloud data pipelinesExperience with IoT fleet management softwareExperience with writing application code for embedded Linux devices (in Python)Experience with medical-record API integrations, such as EMR handling practicesSystem programming experience in other programming languages like C/C++ or RustWhat We OfferSalary of $145,000–$165,000/year (depending on experience) + competitive equityFlexible work environment with hybrid office structureMission-driven, collaborative teamWork on modern technology that integrates hardware, software, and data science to improve livesBenefit from a high degree of ownership and direct impact on our product's successContribute as a foundational member of an early-stage startup poised for significant growth in the wellness IoT market
