Environmental Engineering Intern

OverviewSustainment & Restoration Services (SRS) is a Native American, tribally-owned small business serving federal and civilian agencies.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with environmental remediation projects, including site investigations and corrective action activitiesSupport fieldwork such as soil sampling, groundwater monitoring, and remediation system monitoringCollect, organize, and analyze environmental dataAssist in the preparation of technical reports, figures, and tablesSupport compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations (e.g., CERCLA, RCRA, state cleanup programs)Participate in health and safety planning and adhere to site-specific safety protocolsCollaborate with project teams to support project planning, scheduling, and documentationRequired QualificationsCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related fieldCompleted coursework in environmental engineering, soil mechanics, groundwater, or contaminant transport (preferred)Basic understanding of environmental remediation concepts and regulatory frameworksStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamWillingness to perform fieldwork in varying weather and site conditionsPreferred QualificationsPrior internship or coursework related to environmental remediation or site assessmentFamiliarity with sampling techniques and field equipmentExperience with data analysis tools (Excel, GIS, or similar software)OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (or willingness to obtain)What You'll GainHands-on experience with environmental remediation projectsExposure to environmental regulations and industry best practicesMentorship from experienced environmental professionalsProfessional development and networking opportunitiesEqual Employment OpportunityOneida ESC Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to inclusion and diversity.
