AVP - Financial Planning & Analysis - Finance & Workplace and People (including Comp & Benefits)

We are seeking a high energy and innovative professional to join the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis team as the Finance Business Partner to our Finance & Workplace, Compensation and Benefits and People teams. This includes partnering with our CFO, head of facilities and the head of our People team to provide financial and strategic support in alignment with our finance department’s mission to Advise, Enable and Protect. The position is highly visible in the organization and involves frequent interaction with senior management, as well as management of the supporting team. Responsibilities: Working closely with the executive team and others across Nasdaq, serve as a trusted financial advisor to certain of our expert functions (Finance & Workplace, Compensation & Benefits and the People team). Prepare, analyze and distribute monthly forecast, annual Budgets, quarterly long-range plans and variance analysis for supported organizations. Work closely with the broader Corporate FP&A and Controllers Accounting team to reflect relevant impacts on our actuals, budget and forecast. Manage monthly close process including quarterly account reconciliations. Develop goal scoring infrastructure for bonus plan and score goals on a quarterly basis on a firmwide and divisional level. Present financial overview, key performance metrics and strategic updates for supported teams in Quarterly Business Review meetings to the Management Committee. Liaison with Divisional finance organizations to ensure appropriate expense allocations and provide explanations/support as needed. Support key artifacts across the company that include but not limited to, quarterly SEC reporting, Board reporting and Investor Relations presentations. Lead various other strategic analyses supporting the relevant expert teams, as necessary. Qualifications: 10-15 years of finance experience, including accounting, and financial planning and analysis. Strong presence and presentation skills with the ability to influence outcomes positively. Keen attention to detail. Ability to work with large sets of data to spot trends and anomalies, understand the details while being able to tell the big picture story. History of driving innovation through automation and analytics. Strategic & analytical thinker with the ability to put complex ideas into clear frameworks; demonstrate expertise in structured problem solving and strategic modeling skills. Talent for synthesizing highly complicated/nuanced ideas and communicating them in ways others can easily understand (both oral and written). Well-honed advisory skills in working with others to elicit information, to think objectively and analytically, and to influence outcomes positively. Ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects and meet tight deadlines; have an ability to remain calm under pressure and in the face of uncertainty. Must be proactive, resourceful, and demonstrate intellectual curiosity. Exhibit the highest standards of integrity and be pleasant & fun to work with. The base pay range for this role is $144,600 - $240,900.
