Description Job Title: Family Preservation Social Worker Location: Hybrid / Remote – GaylordService Area: Emmet, Antrim, Cheboygan, Charlevoix, Kalkaska, Otsego and Crawford CountiesReports to: Families First Supervisor – GaylordPosition Type: Full-Time | SalaryWellspring is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to serving seniors, families, and children throughout Michigan. We are currently seeking a Family Preservation Worker to join our Families First Program in Gaylord. In this position, you'll be directly supporting families throughout Northern Michigan, including Emmet, Antrim, Cheboygan, Charlevoix, Kalkaska, Otsego, and Crawford counties.ResponsibilitiesAdhere to the Families First model of service (strength-based, non-deficit approach).Provide families with concrete services, including assistance with housing, transportation, home cleaning, maintenance, and repair.Deliver skills training in areas such as parenting, communication, self-advocacy, and self-sufficiency.Offer short-term counseling and crisis intervention for families in need.Coordinate with external providers to arrange counseling, medical care, educational support, housing resources, and utility assistance.Prepare timely documentation including service plans, progress reports, termination summaries, goal sheets, and weekly reports.Present cases for termination conferences and recommend follow-up services.Maintain 24-hour availability for clients and provide a flexible work schedule based on family needs.Conduct face-to-face contact with families at the frequency required by contract and family needs.Maintain weekly contact with referring workers and complete follow-up evaluations at 3, 6, and 12 months post-service.Transport clients in your own vehicle when needed.QualificationsBachelor's degree in social work or a human services related field required.Current and valid driver's license, vehicle registration, and auto insurance required.Experience working with children and families preferred.Reliable, compassionate, and committed to providing high-quality service.Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Schedule and CompensationEmployment Type: Full-time, Monday-FridaySchedule: Flexible schedule; 24-hour availability for clients as needed.Hybrid-Remote: Home-based with daily travelService Area: Emmet, Antrim, Cheboygan, Charlevoix, Kalkaska, Otsego, and Crawford counties.In-Office Requirements: Weekly team meetings, trainings, and clinical supervision.Salary: $43,000 per yearTravel: Mileage reimbursement providedBenefitsHealth, Dental, and Vision InsurancePTO and Paid Holidays403(b) Retirement Plans + matchingMilage reimbursmentDailyPay – access your earned wages anytimeWellspring SupportLinc - employee assistance programClinical supervision and professional development supportCollaborative and caring team environmentMeaningful work that strengthens families and supports long-term stabilityLocationWellspring Lutheran Services1260 S Otsego AveGaylord, MI 49735Join Wellspring to use your skills and compassion to make a difference in the lives of families across Northern Michigan.
