Batting A Thousand Batting Cages in Portland, OR, is looking for one customer service representative to join our team. Open since 1991 and located at 8829 SE Stark St., we just completed a major renovation. We are excited to welcome a new member to the team!
Summary:
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be the friendly face of our batting cages, providing exceptional service to our guests and creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. You'll be responsible for assisting customers with equipment rentals, answering questions, handling transactions, and ensuring a smooth and positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
Key Responsibilities -
Greeting & Assisting Customers:
*Enthusiastically greet and welcome all guests upon arrival. *Assist customers with equipment rentals, including helmets and bats *Answer questions about pricing, packages, memberships, and facility rules. *Provide guidance on proper batting cage usage and safety procedures.
Handling Transactions:
*Process payments for batting cage rentals, memberships, and merchandise. *Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions.
Maintaining Cleanliness & Organization:
*Assist in keeping the facility clean and organized, including the batting cages, lobby area, and restrooms. *Ensure equipment is properly stored and maintained.
Providing Excellent Customer Service:
*Address any customer concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner. *Go above and beyond to create a positive and memorable experience for all guests.
Qualifications:
* Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests of all ages and backgrounds. * Customer Focus: A genuine passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming environment. * Positive & Energetic Attitude: Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and interacting with people. * Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and support the team's overall success. * Basic Math & Cash Handling Skills: Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently. * Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry up to 25 pounds, and work in a potentially noisy environment.
Additional Information:
*This is a part-time position with flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. *Previous customer service experience is a plus but not required. *A passion for baseball or softball is a bonus!
Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $16.00 - $18.00/hour.
