Job Title: Java Software Engineer Full-time on-site required Summary Build Scalable Systems with Modern Java! We're looking for mid-level Java professionals (2-12 years' experience) who are passionate about building high-performance, cloud-ready and micro services-based applications. Applicants must have authorization to work in the United States that permits full-time employment for the duration of the position without requiring current or future employer sponsorship. Primary Skills: Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring Cloud, RESTful API Development, Microservices Architecture, Hibernate/JPA, SQL databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL and Oracle, Maven, Gradle, Git, React or Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Docker, and cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform. Secondary Skills: Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes, Redis and caching technologies, CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI, API Gateway, service discovery using Eureka or Consul, Terraform and Infrastructure as Code, unit testing using JUnit and Mockito, monitoring and logging using ELK or Splunk, AWS services, Azure services, GCP services, security and authentication, and production support. What You'll Do Depending on the role, you will: Design and develop Spring Boot-based backend services and RESTful APIs Build and maintain microservices architectures and distributed systems Develop front-end applications using React or Angular (Full-Stack roles) Deploy and manage applications on AWS, Azure or GCP Work with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines Collaborate with product and QA teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions What we're looking for 2-12 years of experience in Java development Strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA Experience with REST APIs, Microservices and Distributed Systems Exposure to React or Angular (for Full-Stack roles) Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) Solid understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) Preferred Skills & Certifications Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT and application security best practices Cloud or Java certifications Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab) Cogent Infotech is an equal opportunity employer.
