This is a support position to both the front and back of the house operations and acts as a liaison between both areas. The importance of exceptional organization and attention to detail is vital for the success of this position and the restaurant.Responsibilities and Expectations:Prepare kitchen for serviceKeep kitchen clean and equipment sanitizedEnsure kitchen expo area is compliant with health and safety regulationsLabel and date all items in expo refrigeratorAssist with all food and product onto the tray before deliveryEnsure orders have the correct plates and condimentsEnsure food is served hot and consistent with specificationsEnsure seat numbers are clearly marked on plate coversEnsure errors are fixed immediately and effectivelyEffectively communicate with staff and membershipEnsure all side work is done on a daily basisAssist servers with presenting and serving the food item to the member; whenever possible, a food runner must complete a full serving / food presentation to the tableEnsure storage areas are neat and organizedClean up spills as they occurReport adverse situations to managementAttend pre-service meetings and communicate questions, comments and concerns to other staff members to improve the delivery of food and productAssist members and guests with any requestsCoordinate with management throughout the shiftPolish and organize silverwareJob Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations:Team oriented experienceGood communication skills both written and oralFluent in the English languageSuperb Organization and attention to detailWelcoming and energized personalityGood knowledge of food preparation and presentationPhysical Requirements, Working Conditions and Other Factors:Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature generally is moderate and controlled by club environmental systems; however, must be able to work in extreme temperatures like freezers (-10F) and outdoors (+110F), possibly for one hour or more.Position requires walking and standing for long periods of time. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.Must be able to exert well-paced ability to manoeuvre between functions occurring simultaneously.Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates.Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.Must be able to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 60 lbs.Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 70 lbs. occasionally.Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch occasionally.Must maintain proper hygiene, following the standard and cleanliness of appearance and uniform.Must have reliable transportation.Must follow the standards, guidelines, rules of the employee handbook.Must be able to be off your cellular telephone during your shiftEducation and Experience:High school degree completed or in pursuitPrior hospitality or culinary service preferredMinimum Age Requirement:Must be at least 16 years of age.
