Shop Technician
Job Description
A shop technician will be responsible for all phases of manufacturing and assembly of project-based electrical control panels. This includes assembling, wiring, and reading Electrical schematics. You will report to the shop lead and production supervisor to complete panels and/or enclosures based on schedules that are set based on the customers’ needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
Layout, punch holes, drill, tap, and mounting of components in sheet metal enclosures.
Assemble electrical components on the panels.
Create and attach labels.
Terminal block markers, etc.
Wire customized industrial control panels by reading and interpreting electrical schematics and using the correct size and color of wire.
Install panel in an enclosure.
Perform quality tests.
Prepare enclosure for shipment.
Route and bundle wires and cables neatly according to established electrical standards.
Ensure work meets project specifications and quality standards.
Complete projects within allocated project hours and by the due date.
Maintain clean shop and work area.
Keeping working areas clean of trash and debris in the shop, offices, or customer worksites.
Perform any other duties that may be assigned by management.
Operate Normal Shop tools including but not limited to, (Voltmeter, Labeling Machines/Engravers, Screwdriver/wrenches, Cordless Drill, Jig Saw, Band Saw, Sanders/Grinders, Vacuum Cleaner, Broom and Dustpan, Torque drivers/wrenches, Fork Truck/Pallet jacks, Etc...)

Qualifications
Associate of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology or related Studies
Experience in a related field may be substituted for formal education if the experience is specifically relevant to the position
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
