Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Molding Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in operating and maintaining various plastic molding machines to produce high-quality components. Your expertise will ensure efficient production processes while adhering to strict quality standards. Duties
Set up and operate plastic molding equipment including plastics blow molding, injection molding, extrusion machines, and press brake machines.
Monitor machine operations continuously, adjusting parameters as needed to maintain optimal performance.
Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure parts meet specifications.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery, including CNC lathe and CNC equipment.
Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse handling tools; manage materials flow efficiently within the production area.
Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine control and automation tasks.
Assist in fabrication and assembly processes as required, ensuring adherence to lean manufacturing principles for waste reduction and efficiency.
Experience
Proven experience operating plastics molding machinery such as blow molding, injection molding, or extrusion equipment.
Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing equipment including CNC lathes, press brakes, and other fabrication tools.
Familiarity with quality inspection techniques using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
Hands-on experience with materials handling equipment like forklifts; warehouse experience is a plus.
Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to promote continuous improvement within production workflows.
Prior experience working in manufacturing environments that utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or similar automation systems is preferred. Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
