This position requires sound judgment, accurate reporting, compliance with all licensing and legal requirements, and the ability to perform armed security duties in Alabama and Georgia. nMinimum Qualifications: nnnMust have or be able to obtain and maintain all required State Security Licenses. n nnMust be 21 years of age or older. n nnMust complete armed training and maintain required firearms permits and certifications, including pistol permit requirements. n nnValid driver’s license and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets company-approved driver standards. n nnMust be able to travel regularly between Alabama and Georgia and comply with applicable laws. n nnMust be available to work all shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Schedules will vary based on operational needs. n nnPrior military, law enforcement, first responder, or armed security experience preferred. Retirees welcome. n n nDuties & Responsibilities: nnnPerform walking and vehicle patrols to identify and report safety or security concerns. n nnMonitor access points, verify IDs and credentials, and enforce Security Post Instructions. n nnRespond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents according to protocol. n nnComplete accurate logs, reports, and routine security tasks such as locking/unlocking doors, managing security systems, and monitoring surveillance. n nnAssist visitors and employees professionally while enforcing SEI and client policies. n nnMaintain a clean, pressed uniform and professional appearance. n n nRequired Skills & Abilities: nnnAbility to work in fast-paced, high-stress environments. n nnAvailability to work weekends as needed. n nnStrong situational awareness, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. n nnAbility to remain calm and de-escalate situations during critical incidents. n nnBasic computer skills and ability to use tablets or reporting systems. n nnExcellent verbal and written communication skills. n n nPreferred: nnnFamiliarity with Microsoft Office Suite. n nnKnowledge of access control systems. n nnConflict resolution, de-escalation, active shooter response, FEMA ICS/NIMS, HAZMAT, or related specialized training. n n nMinimum Physical Requirements With or Without Reasonable Accommodation(Subject to change based on client-specific needs) nnnStand for at least 1 hour without support or break n nnSit for at least 1 hour without break n nnWalk at least ½ mile without stopping n n nEducation & Experience: nMinimum: nnnEducation: High school diploma or equivalent. n nnExperience: 1+ years of verifiable security, military, or law enforcement experience. n n nPreferred: nnnEducation: Associate degree or higher. n nnExperience: 3+ years of verifiable security, military, or law enforcement experience. n n nNote: The roles, responsibilities, qualifications, skills, and experience listed above are not exhaustive and may be modified or expanded at any time to meet client or company business needs. nSecurity Engineers, Inc.
