Senior Epic Inpatient Order/ Bugsy Build Analyst

Principal Duties: This is for Epic inpatient Orders Sr. Implementation role Should have 5+ Experience in Full Epic implementation Cycle in large healthcare systems, Current certificationsin Orders, Bugsy and relevant modules• Lead and manage a team of Epic Order Analysts to ensure the successful implementation and of the Epic•Utilize your extensive knowledge and experience with Epic Orders/Bugsy to provide expert guidance and buildfor the team•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of the Epic with other teams and vendors•Develop and implement best practices for the use of Epic Orders/Bugsy to improve efficiency and effectivenessfor our clients•Serve as a subject matter expert on all aspects of Orders/Bugsy including system configuration, workflows, andfunctionality Minimum Qualifications: Under varying levels of direction and expertise, is responsible for the on-goingassessment, design, and development and implementation of corporate –wide clinical systems. Specifically,collect and transform large quantities of information into meaningful business requirements; develop and modifyrequirements documentation for the design and implementation of clinical information systems; critically evaluateinformation from various sources, distinguish user needs from actual business needs and partner with businessusers, project managers, programmers, consultants and IT leadership in optimizing the scope, benefits and risksof actual and proposed projects as well as assist in managing stakeholder expectations.We are looking to fill positions in the following Epic modules: Inpatient Clinical Documentation, Stork OB,Inpatient Orders, Infection Control, Long Term Care/ Rehabilitation, Beacon Oncology, OpTime Peri-Operative,Anesthesia, Radiant Radiology, Cupid Cardiology, Laboratory, Willow Pharmacy, ASAP Emergency Department,Care Management and EpicCare Ambulatory, MyChart, EpicCare Link, Kaleidoscope Ophthalmology, HOD, andHomeHealth. General Tasks and Responsibilities Will Include:• Analyze and document business requirements and processes; communicate requirements to technicalpersonnel through the construction of basic conceptual data, process models and flowcharts, and technicalspecifications.• Interview end users, stakeholders, and project sponsors in order to assess business and clinical needs; createbusiness, functional and technical requirements documents based on captured data and in accordance withdepartmental protocol/standards.• Convert information gathered into details including data sources, data and user types, interface components,interface navigation needs, reporting needs, and administrative system needs.• Define external interfaces, constraints, quality issues and other non-functional requirements.• Provide project management team with identified risks, concerns, and ambiguities discovered during thegathering of requirements; assist team in developing solutions.• Partner with project managers to complete requirements documentation in accordance with project schedule.• Plan, organize, facilitate, and lead meetings and workgroups as well as oversee and execute follow-upactivities.• Ensure software development team accounts for all defined requirements in coordination with quality assuranceteam. Ensure that all quality standards comply with internal policies and industry standards.• Document changes to baseline requirements through standard change control process. Document software testplans, technical requirements, release notes, user and training guidelines and other materials.• Plan, coordinate, and support unit acceptance testing and subsequent deployments in coordination with otherteam leaders.• Perform end user and application support functions including problem solving and resolution of applicationfunction defects• Develop and execute project presentations.• Participate in special projects as required.• Provide training to and serve as a mentor for Junior Clinical Business Analysts and/or other appropriate projectteam members; manage and evaluate work products for assigned team members.• Lead the training, development, and implementation of process improvements for all projects and applications.• Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide analysis and propose change and communicatestrategies.• Provide supervision and direction to junior clinical business analysts, clinical business analysts assigned atLevels I and II, consultants, and/or other appropriate project team members.• Interview Junior Clinical Business Analysts, Clinical Business Analysts assigned at Level I and II, consultants,and/or other appropriate project team members.• Due to the responsibilities of your position, you will be required to work beyond your regularly scheduled hours.• This role is approximately 80% remote and up to 20% on-site.• The selected candidate must be able to come into the office to perform required work within 48 hours. Preferred Qualifications for The Job:Certification(S)/Nys License(S):• Specialty certification(s) issued by a national commercially available program, state, professional society,academic or technical institution in an area(s) listed above, may be credited on a month-to-month basis towardthe required work experience for a total of one year• Epic CertificationOther Preferred Skills:• Clinical Background (preferred)• At least 2 full life-cycle implementations (preferred) Educational Level:• A Master's Degree or advanced clinical degree from an accredited college or university and two years ofexperience serving as a lead in soliciting, defining, and managing requirements for internally and externallydeveloped software in a clinical, allied health, non-allied health, behavioral health, information technology,information services, business, analytics or related area: or, one year of experience in a relevant clinical and/orhealthcare administration role/function; or• A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university and five years of experience as describedabove; or• A satisfactory combination of education, training, and experience. Years of Experience:• 2-5 years' experience with Epic EMR and/or other clinical applications.
