Experience with equipment orders, inventory, customer service and knowledge of DME regulations and billing are required.Duties- Review and verify medical billing information for accuracy and completeness- Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance companies- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims- Resolve billing discrepancies and issues- Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries and disputes- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations- Stay up-to-date with changes in medical billing codes and regulationsRequirements- High school diploma or equivalent- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role- Knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and billing procedures- Proficient in using medical billing software and electronic health record systems- Strong attention to detail and accuracy- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Familiarity with insurance guidelines and reimbursement processesMust have experience in:Enteral pumps & nutritional products,beneficiary eligibilityWound Care SuppliesPart B and third party billingNote: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
