Our team is committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement, while providing a clean, well-organized, and team-oriented work environment.We are currently seeking a Grinding/Manufacturing Engineer to support our manufacturing operations.Position OverviewThe Grinding / Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, programming, and supporting grinding operations through the creation of CNC grinding programs, manufacturing documentation, and inspection standards. This role ensures that all technical requirements are fully prepared and optimized prior to production, enabling efficient, repeatable, and high-quality manufacturing performance.This position serves as the critical link between engineering and production by translating design intent into executable programs, drawings, and processes.Key ResponsibilitiesCNC Grinding ProgrammingCreate, Modify, and optimize grinding programsDevelop automated programming methods to improve efficiency and consistencyTroubleshoot and refine programs during production startupManufacturing PreparationPrepare production for customer demands and new product development.Prepare complete manufacturing release packages, including CNC programs, Manufacturing drawings, Routers, Inspection requirementsEnsure all technical data is accurate and production-ready before releaseDrawings & DocumentationCreate and maintain manufacturing drawings and approval drawingsProduction SupportProvide hands-on technical support to productionAssist with troubleshooting programs and process issuesEnsure successful launch of new jobs and process changesDrive automation and process improvementsFocused on standardization, efficiency, and continuous improvementAutonomous ProductionSupport in driving implementation of autonomous production by developing standardized processes, automated programming, and self-sustaining systems that reduce operator dependency and improve consistencyQualificationsOther duties as assignedBachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience)Preferred 3+ years of experience in CNC grinding or precision manufacturing and programming knowledge of VGPro or Tool StudioExperience in tool manufacturing or similar high-precision environmentsExperience with AutoCAD, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, NXHighly detail-oriented and process-drivenStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsComfortable working between engineering and shop floor teamsPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit or stand for extended periodsReaching overhead or at/below shoulder levelLifting, pushing, or pulling to move materials, tools, or equipment, sometimes involving heavy objects.What We OfferCompetitive pay based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision benefitsPaid time off and holidaysGender Neutral Paid Parental Leave – 14 weeks at 90% of wageRetirement plan options – 5% employer contribution plus a 3% employer match on 6% employee contributionOpportunities for skill development and internal advancementSupportive, team-oriented work environmentApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
