A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.Opportunity:\nRN - PACU\n\nJob Details:\n• Work 10-hour day shifts with call requirements\n• Float between PACU and ACU units as needed\n• Handle Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery patients\n• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 in Phase 1 and 1:4 in Phase 2\n• Must have PACU or ICU experience\n• Care for patients recovering from laparoscopic cholecystectomy, bariatric surgery, debridements, orthopedic, and neurological procedures\n• Work with ICU patients on occasion\n• Required to read cardiac strips\n• Call requirements: 4 weeknights per month, 24-36 hours of weekend call per month, and 1 holiday per year\n• Call response time: 30 minutes\n• Float to ACU, pre-op, and Phase 2 areas as needed\n• Perform pre-op and discharge duties as required\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS, PALS\n• Hospital provides scrubs\n• Use Cerner electronic medical record system\n• Unit-specific orientation provided for both PACU and ACU\n• BSN not required\n\nFacility:\nThis medical center operates a comprehensive post-anesthesia care unit with 13 beds for Phase 1 recovery and 17 beds for Phase 2 recovery.
