Job Title: MATLAB / Simulink DeveloperLocation: Minneapolis, MNWork Schedule: Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday & ThursdayRole OverviewWe are looking for an experienced MATLAB / Simulink Developer to support model-based development for embedded control systems within the power generation domain . The ideal candidate will design, simulate, and validate control algorithms using MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow , and contribute to embedded software development for generator sets and automatic transfer switch (ATS) controllers .This role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on modeling experience, and a solid understanding of electrical systems and power generation principles .Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop moderately complex control algorithms using MATLAB / Simulink (Model-Based Development)Create Simulink and Stateflow models to generate embedded software for:Generator set controllersAutomatic Transfer Switch (ATS) controllersPerform performance simulations , including:Steady-state analysisDynamic and transient behavior simulationUtilize mathematical models and CAE/scientific tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, MathCAD , etc.Conduct and support product-level testing and validation activitiesCreate and maintain design documentation for technical reviewsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including controls, validation, and embedded software teamsRequired Skills & Experience7+ years of experience in MATLAB / Simulink Model-Based Development (MBD)Strong understanding of MATLAB and Simulink fundamentals , tools, and workflowsHands-on experience with StateflowExperience with embedded control systemsStrong background in performance simulation (steady-state, dynamic, transient)Experience in product-level testing and validationAbility to create clear and structured technical/design documentationDomain Knowledge (Highly Preferred)Understanding of electrical systems in the power generation industry , such as:Distributed / embedded power generationConventional centralized power generationIslanded / standalone power systemsExperience working with industrial controllers, generators, or power systems
