Cutter Role Overview The Cutter ensures that all job specifications are accurately interpreted by reviewing job jackets and inspecting printed materials. This role is vital for delivering high-quality products to subsequent workstations, and team members may be asked to assist with additional tasks as needed. Cutter Responsibilities Process printed materials by trimming them to the exact dimensions specified in production orders. Manage industrial cutting equipment to execute precise, custom cuts on various printed media. Review work orders to confirm that all necessary fabrication steps are finished prior to cutting. Execute cutting tasks based on the priority schedule established by your supervisor. Communicate any concerns or complications regarding signage to leadership. Help maintain a safe and organized workspace for the entire team. Operate a forklift as required to support production needs. Demonstrate proficiency with cutting and router machinery. Digital Fabrication Technician Overview The Digital Fabrication and Lamination Clerk supports various operational functions within the department. Success in this role requires a solid grasp of how different inks and media interact with lamination, as well as knowledge of substrate properties. You will handle the fabrication of digital projects, including lamination, cutting, and trimming. Additionally, you are responsible for the upkeep and safe operation of all lamination and cutting equipment. Digital Fabrication Duties Utilize X-acto knives and lamination equipment safely and effectively. Interpret production orders to ensure all print jobs are completed according to exact requirements. Contribute ideas to improve product quality, cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and delivery timelines. Verify all files against established protocols to guarantee high-quality results. Document all time and resources utilized to ensure accurate project tracking. Maintain and operate printers, cutters, and laminators in accordance with company guidelines. Help the team achieve production goals by meeting all established deadlines. Requirements Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English. Flexibility to work weekends and overtime as needed. Capability to lift at least 50 pounds. Commitment to following all safety protocols and procedures. Previous printing experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
