OTR BOX TRUCK DRIVER

Overview We are seeking a reliable and experienced OTR Box Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves safe and efficient delivery of goods across designated routes, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving, warehouse operations, and logistics, with the ability to handle heavy lifting and operate various equipment. Responsibilities Safely operate a box truck for long-distance over-the-road (OTR) deliveries Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques Ensure proper securing of loads to prevent damage during transit Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations Provide excellent customer service during delivery interactions Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and order picking Follow all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, moving, and vehicle operation Experience Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier, especially with box trucks or similar vehicles Proven track record in route driving and load & unload operations Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks is preferred Experience with manual transmission trucks is advantageous Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with clients Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes Valid driver’s license suitable for commercial driving, including driver credentials if applicable Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and cargo handling This position requires a dedicated individual capable of managing multiple responsibilities while maintaining high standards of safety and customer satisfaction.
