This position requires operating vehicles in high-traffic areas and outside the district's service boundaries while supporting students with diverse and complex needs.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Operate a district non-CDL transportation vehicle over scheduled routes as directedPerform pre-trip inspections to ensure all equipment and safety devices are in safe, proper operating conditionMaintain a professional, defensive driving attitude at all timesMaintain appropriate student behavior to ensure safe transportationImmediately report emergencies, breakdowns, delays, or student discipline concerns via radio or telephoneReport all accidents, hazards, damage, or vandalism as soon as possiblePrepare and submit daily transportation reportsMaintain interior and exterior cleanliness of the assigned vehicleMay be required to perform night driving, weekend driving, or special daytime tripsWork collaboratively with other staff to support the safety and well-being of students with learning, behavioral, medical, physical, and/or communication needsOTHER DUTIES: This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of duties.
