Job Location: Geneva, Ohio, United States (On-site)The Senior Electrical Engineer assists in design, development, implementation, and analysis of parts, systems and technical processes. Performs engineering design and analysis tasks with standard techniques. Works with mechanical engineering, other electrical engineers, and designers in the preparation of plans, designs, computation methods and reports. Completes engineering projects and electro-mechanical system designs to support the successful development, implementation, and sustainment of new systems and products, or modifications and revisions to current systems and products.The Electrical Engineer position offers a variety of engineering opportunities including testing, design, 2D drafting, analysis, and prototyping.Primary and Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesControl system designPower system design, including VFDsDevelop electrical schematicsDevelop wiring diagramsWire harness development, including wire lists2D CAD design experience required (AutoCAD software experience preferred)Work with mechanical engineers and designers to build 3D electrical enclosure layouts (Solid Works experience would be considered a plus)Complete designs with and direct technical activities of assigned designers and techniciansUse of Product Data Management (PDM) software for revision control (Solid Works EPDM experience would be considered a plus)Create/edit BOMs using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (SAP experience preferred)Familiarity with analog and digital electrical circuits and componentsFamiliarity with electrical component selection and panel wiringFamiliarity with communication buses such as RS232/RS422/RS485, CAN bus, LVSB, and Ethernet preferredFollow standard project management practicesProactively identifies and mitigates riskReceives and follows directionWorks professionally with teammates and colleaguesReports progress and statusCompletes assigned tasks on time and budget while meeting technical requirementsReviews customer specifications and requirements, and under direction develops designs to best support themImplements design to cost, for manufacture, and for assemblyAdheres to all quality and safety standardsSecondary Duties and ResponsibilitiesMay participate in cross-functional teams and work groupsSupports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organizationSupports other projects and performs duties as assignedSupervisory ResponsibilitiesDoes not supervise othersYears Experience Education LevelStrong performance record as engineer >5 years full-time professional experience. 3 years minimum to consider with strong resume and advanced degree.BS Engineering from accredited school and engineering work experience or equivalent experience required; MS Engineering or passed FE exam preferredQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility listed above satisfactorily.
