Whether your focus lies in nurturing pediatric language abilities, addressing adult neurogenic challenges, or enhancing geriatric cognitive skills, you will find a spectrum of opportunities to enrich lives and your professional journey.Your RoleConduct comprehensive evaluations of a diverse patient demographic, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients, utilizing both standardized measures and observational methods.Devise tailored treatment plans that focus on immediate needs alongside long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions that engage patients in areas such as language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing.Work closely with interdisciplinary teams - including physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, doctors, and family members - to ensure cohesive and effective care.Educate patients and their families, empowering them to foster progress outside of clinical settings.Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy to maintain a seamless continuum of care.Document essential findings and treatment progress in accordance with state, federal, and organizational requirements.Remain at the forefront of the profession by engaging in continuous learning and collaboration with fellow professionals.QualificationsMaster's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified. Licenses and CertificationsActive state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) by ASHA.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within the first month of joining. Desired SkillsExpertise in evidence-based practices across the age spectrum, with a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.Exceptional communication skills to engage with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.Flexibility to modify therapy techniques in recognition of cultural and linguistic diversity.Strong problem-solving abilities paired with clinical discernment.Comfort with digital health records and documentation protocols.
